Bosso Take Huge Gamble, Hike Gate Charges

By H-Metro Reporter - HIGHLANDERS have thrown the dice and hiked entry fees for their midweek Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match against league leaders Manica Diamonds at Barbourfields tomorrow. Bosso had once topped the Premiership log, but recent results have dropped them four points behind Manica Diamonds. Significantly, Highlanders were seven points ahead of Manica Diamonds after four games but are now four points behind eight games on.
But despite the recent slump in which they have gathered only two points out of a possible nine following draws against Arenel Movers (0-0) and ZPC Kariba (1-1) between a 0-2 home defeat to FC Platinum in their May matches, Bosso will charge the most costly ticket tomorrow at US$5. Highlanders last won in the league on April 28 when they beat CAPS United 2-0 at Barbourfields, and are eager to stop the slide now when hosting a Manica Diamonds side that has won the last eight games in a row. The gate charge is usually US$3 for the rest of the ground but Bosso will have US$5 tomorrow while the wings will be US$10 and VIP US$20. During their game against FC Platinum on May 12, Highlanders took to social media to ask fans opinions if they would vote for a proposal to have a US$5 charge for the cheapest ticket. But the proposal was overwhelmingly rejected, with 1,100 plus members voting against it while just 166 were pleased with the scheme. H-Metro
