We are cooking something special: MaBlanyo

By Munyaradzi Madzokere, NewsDay - DYNAMOS coach Lloyd Chigowe has appealed to the club's faithful to exercise patience with the team as they are hard at work bringing something spectacular to their high-stakes tie against top-cruising newcomers MWOS FC at their spanking new home Ngoni Stadium in Norton.
The beleaguered Harare giants have had a difficult start to the season as they sit in 13th place with six points from their first six matches.
DeMbare have won just one match, a 1-0 triumph over defending champions Simba Bhora, with three draws and two defeats.
Chigowe’s will be looking to put an end to a run of two consecutive losses when they make the short trip to Norton.
"As with the fans as always, we are Dynamos and without them we are not so they should continue supporting the team. They should appreciate that we have got a lot of youngsters who are yet to settle in at Dynamos," he said.
"They learned the hard way in the game against Chicken Inn that they experienced aggression from their own fans and they should be provoked by that but ultimately patience pays because we are cooking, we are in the process of constructing and surely they will improve with the passage of time.".
"We are not panicking because this team has not been outplayed. We lost when we had given a very good battle.
"In Mutare, we gave Manica Diamonds a torrid time. They were lucky to get an early goal in the first 15 minutes and from the 35th minute they were in trouble and you saw the seesaw that was the match against Chicken Inn."
Added Chigowe: "We were so hungry to get the three points and we were reckless and we were caught on the break otherwise we feel that these boys will get it right.
Of course, here and there we will be new faces in the team."
Well known as MaBlanyo among football circles, Chigowe is one of the under-fire coaches in the topflight league after reports indicated that the leadership at the club convened a meeting during the week to deliberate his future.
Chigowe is certain defeats in the last two games will encourage the players to deliver against an old rival.
We have had an idea of the way MWOS Football Club plays. We know that they are on a winning streak and we have tasted defeat on two consecutive matches and that should encourage us to give a very good fight in Norton," he said.
"We have a bit more time to get ready with regard to assessing the lads who are fight ready because we lost Temptation Chiwunga and Freddy Aleck too. We are now trying to figure out if Tellmore Pio is going to be good enough."
MWOS FC, led by one-time Dynamos son Lloyd Mutasa, have had a dream start to life in the premier soccer league after taking over at the top of the table.
The Punters are among the two sides that are yet to lose a game in the division alongside FC Platinum and have four victories from their six games to lead the log with 14 points.
Ngezi Platinum Stars are their nearest challengers after obtaining 13 points from an equal number of matches while newbies Scottland FC and Simba Bhora occupy the top four on 11 points, with the former having a superior goal difference.
